On 27 July 2008, the avenue des Champs-Elysées will become the final scene of a drama in 3 acts (3 weeks). Who will be the winner of the last contested stage of the 2008 Tour? Who will proudly take away the 105th edition winner’s trophy? Contador? Evans? Valverde? Place your bets.

Around the same time each year, since the creation of the Tour, Paris offers tourists, Parisians and all sports fans a unique occasion: the spectacular and last stage of this tour, affectionately called the Grande Boucle.

If you’re lucky enough to witness this special moment, like these thousands of cycling fans, you will no doubt feel the thrill and the excitement in the crowd as the leaders cycle onto the Champs-Elysées.

The pride of France in terms of a sports event, the Tour de France is a veritable institution! It is the top cycling event to win in order to become a cycling legend. For where other than here could we find so many famous names — Coppi, Anquetil, Merckx, Hinault and Armstrong — all in the same list? The arrival of the Tour on the Champs-Elysées is a truly memorable occasion!

A tribute exhibition that leafs through a photo album compiled by the greatest names in photography (Howell Conant, Cecil Beaton, Irving Penn, among others), an exhibition that unveils Grace Kelly’s correspondence with her Hollywood friends and the greats of this world (Jackie Kennedy, Alfred Hitchcock, Maria Callas, Cary Grant and so on), her dresses, her jewellery, and more.
