The Fête des Tuileries is one of the biggest events of the summer. Visitors bring their families, dress is casual, and entertainment all round.

From 28 June to 24 August, this popular funfair opens on the Tuileries gardens in Paris for two months of pure madness.

Here the attractions continue year after year, bringing laughs, fears and excitement for children, with surprises and thrills for adults too.

Once inside the great Fête des Jardins du Tuileries, everyone streams towards the stands. The fun is never-ending thanks to all the great attractions (the little train, the big wheel, bumper cars, etc.).

Fairground rides, coloured balloons, scary monsters… the Fête des Tuileries is here, with its laughs, candyfloss, and all the fun of the fair!

On 27 July 2008, the avenue des Champs-Elysées will become the final scene of a drama in 3 acts (3 weeks). Who will be the winner of the last contested stage of the 2008 Tour? Who will proudly take away the 105th edition winner’s trophy? Contador? Evans? Valverde? Place your bets.

Around the same time each year, since the creation of the Tour, Paris offers tourists, Parisians and all sports fans a unique occasion: the spectacular and last stage of this tour, affectionately called the Grande Boucle.

If you’re lucky enough to witness this special moment, like these thousands of cycling fans, you will no doubt feel the thrill and the excitement in the crowd as the leaders cycle onto the Champs-Elysées.

The pride of France in terms of a sports event, the Tour de France is a veritable institution! It is the top cycling event to win in order to become a cycling legend. For where other than here could we find so many famous names — Coppi, Anquetil, Merckx, Hinault and Armstrong — all in the same list?
